About the plant
Dahlia is grown as a compact pot plant with plenty of buds and strong foliage. Height is managed through climate control and variety selection so the plants hold their shape throughout the sales period.
Care
Place in a bright spot and water evenly – dahlias are thirsty in warm periods. Remove spent flowers so new buds set. Not frost hardy.
History and origin
Dahlia originates from Mexico and Central America and reached Europe in the late 18th century. Today the genus is one of the most varied garden plants of all.
